Tree work is easy to sell and hard to get in front of
Most tree businesses do not have a quoting problem. They have a pipeline problem. You are good on the tools, your repeat customers like you, and then a quiet fortnight arrives and the crew is standing around. The work exists — someone in your suburb is searching for a dead gum removed right now — but they are finding a competitor with a better-optimised Google profile or a better-funded ads account.
Tree Care Marketing is the marketing side of that equation. We are not an arborist business and we never quote a job. We generate tree removal, lopping, stump grinding and emergency storm enquiries in a defined territory and send them to one tree service business: yours.
What we actually do
Four things, and we will tell you which of them you need after we look at your numbers.
Our lead generation service is the core of it — paid and organic campaigns built to produce phone calls, with you paying for the enquiries rather than the impressions. The AI receptionist picks up the calls that go unanswered while you are twelve metres up a spotted gum. For businesses that want an asset rather than a rental, SEO for tree services builds rankings that keep producing after the ad budget is switched off, and Google Ads management covers the immediate, high-intent searches while that slower work matures.
We will tell you when paid leads are the wrong answer
Buying leads is not right for every tree business. If you cannot answer the phone, cannot get a written quote out within a day, or your close rate on warm enquiries is under one in five, more leads will simply cost you more money. We have written the honest version of that argument in when not to buy tree service leads, and we would rather you read it before you spend anything.
If you want to sanity-check the economics first, work out what a tree service lead is actually worth to your business, then run your own figures through the lead value calculator. The number you land on is the ceiling on what any agency, including us, should be charging you per enquiry.
How the engagement works
We start by checking whether your territory has enough monthly search demand to support the work. If it does, we agree the postcodes, the job types you actually want (plenty of operators want removals and not hedge trimming), and a monthly figure. Our pricing page explains what drives that number and what we charge for the AI receptionist.
From there you get enquiries by SMS and email as they arrive, with the recording and the suburb attached. You call them back, you quote, you win the work. We handle the campaigns, the landing pages, the tracking and the reporting. Territory availability changes constantly — the territories page covers which capital city markets are competitive and what that means for cost per lead.
Learn the game before you buy into it
We publish the material we use with clients rather than gating it. The guides section covers how to get tree removal leads through every channel available to you, what to look for when buying tree service leads, and how to get your Google Business Profile doing real work. If you read all of it and decide to run your own marketing, that is a fine outcome. Plenty of operators do.
When you are ready to talk numbers, get in touch or call 0468 062 773 and we will tell you straight whether your territory is worth working.
Frequently asked questions
Are the leads exclusive to my business?
Yes. We work with one tree service business per territory. A removal enquiry from your postcodes goes to you and nobody else. We do not run a shared marketplace where four loppers race to call the same homeowner, because that model trains customers to shop on price alone and it wrecks your close rate.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. Everything runs month to month. If the leads are not paying for themselves you give notice and stop. Anything registered in your name during the engagement, including your Google Business Profile and your phone number, stays yours when you leave.
Do you work with tree businesses outside the capital cities?
Often, yes, but not always. Regional territories can have too little monthly search volume to support paid campaigns. We check the search demand for your postcodes before quoting, and if the numbers are not there we will tell you rather than sell you a campaign that cannot work.
How fast do I need to call a lead back?
Within five minutes during business hours. Tree enquiries are usually urgent, often storm-related, and the homeowner is contacting several companies. The first arborist to answer books a disproportionate share of the work. If you cannot answer, an AI receptionist catching the call is the difference between a job and a missed one.
